When they reach the island of the Cyclopes they wander into Polythemus` cave. They`re keep there for seven years. While there Polythemus eats six of Odysseus` men. Odyessus tells Polythemus that his name is Nohdby. He gets Polythemus drunk and then stabs him in the eye. Odysseus and his men strap themselves to the bottom of the sheeps and when Polythemus lets out the sheep to eat Odysseus and his men get away. Odysseus gets cocky and says "...tell him Odysseus,raider of cities,took your eye: Laertes` son, whose home`s on Ithaca!" He gives away where he lives and his real name.
